I've never seen so many non black rappers trending at the same time at streaming services

There are also a considerable amount of people who don't use streaming services, because they've collected enough music that have libraries large enough to not need streaming shyt.

having nearly 17k songs keeps me from seeing the practicality of a streaming service.
Yeah this is true for me. I use streaming now really to discover new people or whatever. The mainstream releases aren’t good enough for me to justify having streaming. I’ll just buy whatever album I feel like is good enough.. nikkas be sending me links to albums anyway even when I don’t ask for them.

we gotta blame ourselves for having no standards when it comes to the music.

If black folks didnt accept bullshyt from our own in hip hop....the would be no lane for anyone else.
but as long as the majority dont care about content/bars...nobody else will.
How can we blame ourselves, if a white person makes music and white people buy it? How are black people to blame :dahell::dahell::dahell:.

And what has white people got to do with content/bars?

From my impression those people could've been black, half are bs-rappers, others half are just weak but about bars/content.

3-4 of those are also half black, African or island latino from NY, cats that have been part of it since the beginning.

That doesn't mean shyt a good amount of those guys are pop acts who rap. On top of that I think another poster mention rappers are the only artists eating on a consistent basis at a small and large level. Hip hop is still a Black artform and right now is at the forefront of American culture.

And also of the people you mentioned 6 are actually white, 5 alive.
In the golden age of hiphop we had Beastie Boys, Vanilla Ice, Marky Mark and House of Pain all hot at the same time. I wasn't into hiphop then but I'm sure someone can drop other one hit wonders.

I'd say that it's impressive that for 40 years, we've kept hiphop nearly all black. Can't say the same for jazz, rock and other genres. Or any other thing anyone else invented.
