I've Officially Hit The Wall At Work

When i say wall i mean the point where i feel ive mastered my job and its time to move up/on. Only thing is ive been here 6 months and cant apply for a higher position until a year in. We do have a tier 2 position in San Diego that i've been wanting for a while but i dont know if i can wait another 6 months, im ready to get to Cali and Make More $$$ RIGHT NOW . Might just start applying everywhere on monday in the San Diego area and see what happens.

at my last job we got certificates for above & beyond performance, i had more in 6 months than people had in years... i color copied them b!tches & put em wit my resume... left under bad terms & got hired quick off that sh!t... got 30 from my current job in 9 months... guess where they goin....

if you still there on good terms do that sh!t... you get nothin, you aint lost nothin & can wait the 6 months out, if you get somethin, better youre winnin, never hold yourself back.... keep every good performance thing you get & use it as a steppin stone to somethin better.... school, volunteerin, keep all that sh!t.... just see what options you got...

You'll make more money out there, but California's cost of living can quickly negate that sh!t. Good luck, b.

im at this point too. my boss has been pissin me off lately. part of me wants to wait a couple weeks til we are super busy then quit with no notice just cause it will make him look like an idiot. i should prolly find a new job first tho.

There's no rules when it comes to getting promoted. Just talk the right people and see if they can work something out.

Yeah, I'm kind of feeling the same way - my boss is cool, but there just doesn't seem to be much room for advancement at my job.

I'm about ready to move on but it's hard to find a job that's about shyt in my area. Had a few interviews here and there but no offers. And the economy is way too bad for me to be quitting w/o another job lined up.
