I've already seen this documentary 100 million times and can't wait to see it again.

I had an advance copy from someone and used to watch it all the time until they took it back :mjcry:

It puts that ESPN 30 to 30 from a few years ago to shame......It makes it look like an after school special.

I won't spoil it for anyone...

They break down his court case in ways that the 30 for 30 didn't. I actually cried and got extremely angry during it. Tom Brokaw is truly an angel that saved that man's life.

They show his "Practice" speech in full and talk about how the media misconstrued what he was saying. Scoop Jackson is in the documentary defending Allen on it. Has appearances from John Thompson, the Vice president of reebok, Larry Brown, Pat Croce......I enjoyed the scenes with the Reebok exec because you got to understand how much although people loved him, he was very hard to deal with. In his words "He had a great soul but he just reached a point where he didn't give a fukk about obligations"

I said this in another thread but I loved the scene where A.I was in the locker room at Georgetown and is listening to Raekwon Ice Cream with his team.

Thank you brotha for the run down. I am glad you said it was truly insightful and not like that good vs evil. Bad guy vs good guy shyt on ESPN 30 for 30. I will happy to tape this documentary and watch it.

Do you have any idea if AI is getting any money or kickbacks from this documentary?

Not sure to be honest.

I was able to see it from someone at the NBA. They had advance copies even tho they didn't produce it.
