Well they seem to be doing a pretty good job of Co existing being that they are 2 of the top 3 rappers in the game right now....

I'm a fan of both and they aren't the same in my eyes other than the fact that they are all about their music and not into fukkery, gimmicks, and living on social media.....
they both have gimmicks

everything else you said was on point

Of course they can Co-exist. They both talk about black power and unity. But the rest of their music is about their own life experiences. Kendrick and Cole DONT have similar life experiences.

Kendrick is from Compton California ( GKMC)
Cole is from fayetteville NC

Kendrick life was shaped by the streets of Compton
Cole is a "college boy", Who's life was influenced by school and living in NYC.

Cole is more relate-able than Kendrick to me...and Im from Philly

Kendrick was one of those nerds in school who could write poems

But I just can't relate to him AT ALL

I would like it if Cole was a more straightforward type of lyricist and he dropped a few similes and metaphors every now and then.
