Cole and his team (Ib) got him where he’s at mire so than Drake and Kendrick who had big machines behind them. Dollar and a dream tour, documentary and other fan interactions to build a solid loyal fanbase.

lol at roc nation

Sorry to say your wrong

I remember people saying Cole was a right off

He wasn't allowed to release a album for 2 years

Roc nation kept putting him on college tours to build up his fan base which follows him to this day

Then he was put on the blueprint 3

Then a song with beyonce

Then feature after feature

He was just a college looking kid back then

Thats how they used to bring up new artists back then like motown

Tour after tour after tour

Who you think was doing that for him?

J Cole needed the Jay-Z cosign, and he definitely got a push, but signing to Roc Nation was just a formality, he could’ve made it elsewhere with a similar situation in place

I dont think so

Remember he from NC

Besides petey pablo

Who else came out of there

And don't say little brother

Because some how people don't know who phone is and he the reason why Drake is here with that style

Put my conspiracy hat on. Do anyone find it weird artists from
Dre
Jay
Kanye
Lil Wayne

all took off around the same time? Then look at how “safe” all those artists are.
Safe? Just regular. You just contrasting them against the era of the most violent street rap. That was the landscape of hip hop post Ye and 50 changing of the guard moment. Rap music was maturing to a place where rappers didn't have to adopt fake street personas to make it. The direction of music will always shift over time. Just like the best of the 90's rappers are here still. The best of the 2010's era are still at the top.

It's hilarious that you think there was a conspiracy to make safe Rap. Everything is a conspiracy these days. shyt retarded.

his mixtapes

Oh that's all you need huh :ohhh:

The mixtapes with the roc nation logo on them

:patrice:

That roc nation was supporting and he was preforming on stage on the tours

They put him on

No money involved from roc nation

:jbhmm:

So Cole just drove his car to tours with no money in his pockets

And said let me rock the stage :gladbron:

And they let him :martin:

Sounds simple enough :skip:
