Cole stans really have to come up with bs like "peoples champ" just to make themselves feel better about cole always being overshadowed. Sorry but theres a reason for it, he's not a better hit maker than drake, he's not a better rapper or artist than kendrick.

Stop making everything about somebody being a stan. I like Drake's music, in general, better than Cole's. However, he's undoubtedly more organic than those two guys and that's the whole point.

Damn :patrice: I fukk with Cole but alot of you stans are reaching. What exactly makes him the "people's champ"? How can you be the champ with no rings? Cole has dropped a few good albums but no classics that I can think of.

LOL, I love the guy but.... Coles fanbase includes some of the dumbest college girls on campus who are now suddenly experts on rap :mjlol:

dude is still talented tho

seems like a humble guy and one my favorites of the new class

:russ: real talk, j colon generates the same quality female stans as Drake, just dumb bytches that don't know shyt about hip hop. And looking at the content of his music, it really is no surprise.

I don't like dudes music that much but I agree.

He's got legions of loyal stans that go out and support him. He doesn't get rave reviews nor does he have big singles but the albums move - big time. He's got a certain demo and they love him.

I don't think he's the "people's champ". So many people don't rate him like that, myself included. Most my people think he's aight. But i've been to festivals where people specifically those 16 - 21 seem to love him. That core base is large and strong. They can buy albums and shows. But he's not at the level of a Kanye who will sell less records in 2016 but headline festivals around the world. Cole's artistry/popularity overall isn't there like that

His major fanbase ranges from 16-28. That's cutting it way short, u gotta remember the people who latched to him 09 were mainly the college age people from that time. They are all grown now and he hasn't lost them at. Plus Cole fanbase is heavily black, from women to men.

Can only talk from my own experience. I've seen Cole perform at the same festival in London twice. At most people 25 and under really vibed with him. A 28 year old J Cole stan? Nah breh.

I don't see people who grew up on Mos Def, The Roots all the way to a Kanye West really rocking with Cole like that. At 28 you were 12-14 towards the backend of the Soulqarians stuff. Like 14 when Kanye dropped College Droput. A decade later you aint stanning someone who is trying to recreate those first 2 Kanye albums, nah bruh.

Mid 20's s is like The Coli demographic - we don't talk about breh that much despite his popularity. Check this: A Highly Scientific, Real-Life Exploration Into How Anyone Could Possibly Like J. Cole

Maybe this is just what I tell myself. In my mind he's for young cats, hip hop heads entering or in the very early stages of adulthood. Especially women.

Maybe That's how it is in UK. Not in America tho. Cole has a very wide fanbase.

Those 28-30 year olds that Were hipped to the Warm up are the biggest part of his fanbase

No one cares about the UK

Somewhat true but i disagree a littele

Cole shares a fanbase with drake but has a fanbase of bytches that think out of all the artist in the industry Cole is the light in the darkness.

They act like every artist is shallow and make brainless music.

But Cole is against the grain and makes " music that sticks to ya ribs" "real music 4 real people" You know that corny shyt.
they view Cole as the savior

In other words they act like Kendrick stans.
