one segment of the interview I found kinda corny...that he said he didn’t wanna speak about Kanye in public...but mentioned to the public that he would speak about Kanye to Angie in private...then proceeded to speak about Kanye in a roundabout way instead.

either don’t talk about it all, or just finish talking about your thoughts instead of teasing people with the bullshyt

Great interview. Though it’s his “gimmick” , I truly feel he’s one of the few genuine Artists in the game .

He's a better person than artist imo. The album would have worked better if its approach to addition was as genuine and personal as mentioned in the interview, vs the judgemental shyt we got on the album.

In terms of the interview...he confirms what I thought about the Kanye thing. Taking a screenshot and advertising the Cole convo was a clear sign that Kanye was exploiting the situation. He did the same thing to John Legend, who was genuinely trying to talk to him. Kanye is driven by media and attention and clearly doesn't believe in bad press. Everything is for sale, everything is accessible. I hope his album bombs...but I'll be listening to it.

The shyt he said about trolling, I hope people listen to that and become conscious of it and try another route, seems like this shyt will never fade. To even be poppin as a personality, not even an artist but just to cover the artists, you have to be a troll too (Charlamagne, Akademiks, etc..) shyt is overboard. I knew when nikkas like Riff Raff and 50 Tyson and all them other dudes started getting buzz and record deals and touring and making money that this shyt was over

Is Angie a good interviewer? Cause honestly I usually just wait for the breakfast club interview.

The Breakfast Club is lowkey trash if u wanna get an actual insightful interview. Hot 97 is even way better than them when it comes to research and speaking about the music. If u like gossip. The Breakfast Club is better. But Angie is legendary wit this shyt and she gets guest comfortable to the point they open up alot.

There's 100% chance it flops. I believe if the music actually releases Kanye will pull some stunt where the 1st week numbers can't be reported like TLOP

@CrimsonTider dunno, will he flop with streaming+people's obsession with watching train wrecks? Seems like even if people outright refuse to buy the album they will still stream out of curiousity. Seven songs will make it impossible to sell well without a hit tho.

The only two songs we've heard, which presumably (hopefully) won't be on the album are utter trash. I think Cole is right: Kanye can't handle not being popular anymore. He might throw another fit very soon like you said, for more promo.
