I was hoping that Missy was gonna be able to ride that wave and make a comeback:to:

I still hope for a Missy comeback. While her rap records are her most successful, I would like to hear her return with a crazy Timbaland produced R&B record. Maybe throw Drake into the mix. It would help her build buzz and would be the closest Drake could come to working with Aaliyah.

oddly enough, Drake doesnt need her or Timbo to do the Aaliyah work since her label/uncle owns all her shyt and seem more than willing to let him do his thing with her leftover tracks. The joint he and 40 did with her vocals last year was official tho

That's not my point. Missy wrote a lot of music for Aaliyah as did Static (R.I.P.) and R. Kelly. Timbaland produced a lot of her music as did R. Kelly and Key Beats. Those artists are like Aaliyah's soul musically speaking. Them making a record that Aaliyah would have sang would be organic and not a re-working of an unfinished or unreleased song. They wouldn't even have to sample Aaliyah's vocals or lift her vocals from an unreleased song. Missy demo'd a lot of Aaliyah songs so hearing a Missy R&B record is literally the closest you could get to an Aaliyah record without Aaliyah's vocals.
