I doubt it.

I think there’s a lot of people who are okay with never hearing another J Cole record again, myself being one of them. I say this as someone who downloaded The Come Up off his MySpace page. nikka can rap but I’m just good … on anything else by him :francis: especially after how soft he moved leading up to Kenny/Drake shyt.

The fact that the album name is now prophetic :pachaha:

And remember where you heard it first: when the bar is raised artistically people can’t go backwards. Even a casual will feel the difference. It’s why Drake shyt ain’t hittin no more

So after months of hearing Kendrick raise the bar and even go above normal bars, and now being cinema, dramatic, attacking secret society type shyt. It’s gonna make Cole shyt sound elementary. Watch

And for the fans who’ve always felt kendrick was on a totally different echelon from Cole, we already knew that

:mjgrin:My theory was right he’s playing a character. The “fall off” is a gimmick for his concept album guys.
It'll likely be his best lyrical showing and his retirement.
Still hasn’t topped 2014 forest hill drive..

Most artists' best work is earlier than not. That's not egregious.
