Ja was going triple off of two or three big songs with NOBODY fukking with the actual album

Same with Luda, Fab, Chingy etc

Crazy how we used to pay like 17.99 for an album because we liked a music video or two

Most high selling albums were carried by a song or two. Thats literally the point if singles...to make you interested in the album. You couldnt just pull up a song and listen to it on your phone whenever you wanted. Its funny how access alters perspective.

Ain’t no way you dropping a diamond or multi platinum album back then with “nobody” fukking with the album…the first two Nelly albums had 4 or 5 singles a piece released from them, and shyt like Luv’n Me that were albums cuts that might as well been singles …to get an album cycle that long for the label to work that many singles the album had to have traction

Stick ‘em Up and Catch Up by Luda weren’t singles and get played in the club TO THIS DAY

Only person I say this applies to is maybe Fab…and he was mainly topping off at gold anyway

Luv’n Me was a great song but time is on my side considering none of those albums have been celebrated since they were released all those years ago. They all feel in the category of ok AT BEST

Nelly isn't one of these.
His first album had a multiple hits. Was a good album for the most part. Ride wit' me had a comeback in the later 2010s and is basically a classic jam now.
White girls 30+ love that song

Busta, Fab, chingy though
:trash:

No replay because they were carried by beats. No song writing ability. By the second verse you've heard the whole song but it goes on for 2-3 mins.
