If the bar for getting into the Hall of Fame was best player on a championship team then the Hall would be like 30 people bruh.

The NBA is hilarious in the way that contributing to winning games is one of least valuable metrics fans like to use when evaluating players. “Oh he was a major reason they won the titles but he wasn’t the best player so his shyt don’t count”.

Y’all are a joke.

You guys are weird. I didnt say he wasn’t a hall of fame player tho.. i said he wasnt a first ballot caliber player. If this was NFL or MLB, Klay would wait to get in the hall.

Injuries aren’t a personalty or coachability issue breh

You're arguing a point that's completely seperate and removed from your original point, which was that a campaign is being waged on TheColi to blackball the #2 pick from the NBA. Ja is doing a great job at that himself, as tolerance will never outweigh production, and yes, an inability to remain healthy absolutely matters when your production has fallen off a cliff and you're more prolific due to your antics outside of the lines than you are within them. Sort of makes "blackballing" you a lot easier.

Teams aren't looking for mascots. No one is going to pay a malcontent that can't stay heathy, lost his joy for the game, and whose game is predicated on his diminishing athletic ability to sit on the bench.

He’s not the first nikka to have off the court issues, nikkas in the past were worse

Yeah bro, he was going 85 in a 40 but other people have went 100 in a 40, so why is he getting pulled over? Likely Ja's mindset and what Klay was referring to, and why he's just as probable to end up like John Wall as he is to see another max contract. Those other players, what happened when their production fell off or they couldn't stay healthy?

Rhetorical question.

Everyone rocking with Klay on this one surprises me

Suburban pearl clutchers that's all :pachaha:

I fukks with Klay. Nico screwed him over with the Luka trade. He may have been touched a bit by that finger :dame: but his outburst had an element of truth, and truthfully, Ja should be showing more respect to the OGs of the league

Arguably a top 5 all time shooter in a a sport centered around shooting is not a 1st ballot hall of fame player brehs.

:mjlol:

In the NFL if the team was a dynasty it is common for multiple people getting in on the 1st ballot. Both Troy and Emmitt were 1st ballot hall of famers.

Even though the bar is set low, these guys aren't exactly first-tier caliber. Both would barely make it into a real Hall of Fame. Klay was solid, but never truly great. He had a lot of big games, so he earns some respect for that, but his career doesn't scream first ballot Hall of Fame material.

Gilbert Arenas brought up a valid point about evaluating players. If you strip away team success, can a player really stand on their own? Klay is only a 5-time All-Star and a 2-time All-NBA, and he’ll likely end his career with less than 20,000 points, even though he’s known as a scorer and shooter. That’s not first ballot or indicative of all-time greatness.

This sounds dumb as F U C K
