I expect to be in the minority but it's not a bad deal to me. Jags can still draft another QB and Bortles can try to see if he can continue improving. The main thing is the money is right. Kirk Cousins bout to get $30 mil out in these streets. The Bortles and Alex Smith deal make sense to me in that context

Although Bortles played well enough against Steelers and Pats and didn't turn over ball, with Bortles and his limitations...a lot of pressure is being put on run game and defense. Teams gonna put 8-9 man boxes to stop Fournette. U also have to play a penalty free game and have superior coaching to get Jags to SB.
