Jake "The Snake" Roberts, who just recently had a feel good moment of his own on the Old School edition of Raw and has been rumored for a possible spot in the Royal Rumble match or a Hall of Fame slot of his own, was asked about Warrior's nod in a recent episode of Sirius XM's Busted Open show. In response to a question about their careers not being comparable, Roberts responded:

I know, man! I know that. But maybe they're taking in a-holes and not great talent. I don't know.
---
Understandably, Warrior took the "a-hole" comment personally. And in typical Warrior-style, he threw gasoline on the fire when he responded on Twitter:
"Question for former talents now 'hypocrite' born-again Christians. Where do we go to find you practicing the beliefs of Christianity? Hell? One a-hole instills honor and pride, The other horror and pity. One grows wise on great stories. One reads bathroom stalls and still grovels."
---
UPDATED: Jake Roberts issued the following apology (via PWInsider) to the Ultimate Warrior:

My guys showed me Warrior's tweets. I was trying to be entertaining with the radio show and took things too far, like I do too often. I have no business inferring anything negative about him. I apologize. He deserves the HOF and respect for what he accomplished in the business. But let me be clear. There is no hypocrisy here. I am not preaching anything. I am sharing my recovery path to show others what is possible. So no pity, bathrooms stalls or groveling. I am doing great. I am an addict and alcoholic working every single day to repair and make the best out of the life I have left. I make mistakes, like that comment, but my recovery has been amazing. Jim does not know this Jake. Without realizing or intending to, I fired the first shot and will take Jim's response without any negativity towards him. I apologize and am putting behind me.

Although Warrior has yet to reply, Steve Wilton, who represents Warrior in some business ventures, was not so forgiving. "More likely you let your guard down and the real Jake surfaced," Wilson wrote to Roberts after the apology was issued. "Smart business move as usual. Your whole act is a scam." When the Rock made his suprising return to the WWE, It not only electrifed the industry but it also made many wrestles unhappy. CM Punk, John Cena, and mainly Randy Orton to name a few. Some wrestlers felt that Rock’s return took the shine off many of the new comers in the WWE and here were Orton’s comments in regarding to the Rock earlier this past March:

I know them both, and I know Cena a lot better than I know The Rock, obviously, but I’ve been in the ring with both cutting promos and wrestling. I have to say, though, talking about the whole ring rust thing, John Cena has had about 2,000 matches in the last seven years. The Rock? A big, fat zero. So when it comes to ring rust, I don’t care what type of athlete you are, and The Rock is obviously an athletic dude, but Cena has been in the ring. He’s been at every show and in every show and making appearances and he has been on the road with the WWE over 300 days a year for the last seven years. The Rock? Virtually non-existent. You see the interviews that The Rock does and he says that he doesn’t want to be known as a wrestler. He doesn’t want to be known as a sports entertainer or a performer with WWE or a WWE superstar. He wants to be known as an actor. Now all of a sudden he’s back in our world telling the fans what they want to hear. He’s telling them: “I promise that I will never go away again. I promise that I’m back for good and that I’m here to stay.” He said that, what, six or seven weeks ago? Have we even seen him live since then? No. Via satellite. I think Cena will own The Rock. I think Cena is wittier and can go off the cuff. Cena writes his own stuff while The Rock has stuff written for him. It just all comes down to who you are in the ring and what kind of performer you are in the ring, and I think Cena is ten times the performer in the ring that The Rock is. This Monday in Chicago, he’ll prove it.

It seems that after the Wrestlamania buyrate numbers came through, Young Randall changed up his tune:

“You know, that’s a tough question for me to answer,” Orton said. “I’ve answered it already a few times. Here’s the thing, I could be selfish and say that I feel it takes away from me, but you have to give credit where credit is due, and I will very humbly say that Cena, watching him come up and get better and better and just how smart he is in and outside the business, the business side, he knows what he’s doing out there. Rock? You know, he went and did the acting thing. I could see how one of our fans would be upset with him for coming back after all this time and saying, ‘I promise I won’t leave, I’m here for good, I’m here to stay.’

“The day after WrestleMania, this match, Cena vs. Rock, is made. And you thinking, man, is he going to be around to promote this match. Here’s the thing, Rock is so big time and that many more people are going to watch our show because of it. And for that, no matter how I feel about whether or not Rock is here, there, or wherever, I got paid for this past WrestleMania and I was happy with my payday. And I know that that number on that paycheck reflected him being present that day. If anything, Dwayne, if you’re listening, thank you. And I think everyone on the card owes him a thank you, because helped people watch our show. He helped ticket sales, plain and simple. He’s The Rock. Whether you love him or hate him, he’s entertaining.

“I guess in Australia, John Cena, I saw some stuff on the net where post-show for a live event, he said some disparaging things about Rock. And Rock gave his rebuttal… It was Rock himself doing a flip-camera video, and he cut a 12-minute promo on Cena. And after the promo, I was like, ‘Man, I never really thought about it like that before.’ It was pretty good. I had my wife come listen to it. Rock is awesome. I’ve said things before about his verbiage and writers helping come up with it.

“Here’s the thing, he’s as entertaining as it gets. The electricity that whole thing, you do feel it in the air. When you’re backstage, when I first started, he’s doing a live promo to the house and TV live at the same time, backstage I’d be peeking around the corner and watching him do his thing and hoping that one day that I could amount to an eighth of that energy. He’s better than anybody else out there when it comes to that, but John Cena is my boy. I respect what he’s done for this business and how hard he works for this business, so I will always have his back.”

Must be a reptile thing :manny: #popshyt #apologize #askKiss

EDIT: Austin not included :whoa:

You know Jake knows he spoke the truth. He just wishes he hadn't actually said it so publicly, and that's all he's really apologizing for.

Warrior is legit crazy (see his website) and nobody liked working with him. Personally I never liked him either. Once you get past the makeup, the rope-shaking and the steroids, what's really there? His promos didn't even make sense.
