he originally said PR and DR don't associate/want to be black, and you countered with "they weren't colonized by the British". not sure what you were gettin at, but it came off as you saying that "the reason DR and PR don't seem to be pro black is because they don't speak english/weren't british colonies"

so the next man said "well, haiti is pro black YET they did not get colonized by the british/speak english"

Oh well if that's the case. Its not a fact that they don't want to associate with the other islands. There's just a lot of barriers that prevent it. The DR and PR are further away from the other islands and there's the language barrier. You have to remember PR is not an independent country. There's some association between PR and other Caribbean countries. The other countries are closer because they share a lot of similarities like culture and language.
