However you want to look at it: quality, impact, popularity, or your personal preference. After you vote, just 3 questions

1.Are you connected to that culture through heritage or marriage? or Not

2 What was your introduction to those parts of JA culture?

3 Favorite song or dish?

....
Unless you grew up around them you can’t understand most of the music.

Plus the music peaked in the 90’s. 2000’s

Anyone can taste the food.

I picked both

1. Not

2. Heard the music (Buffalo Soldiers) years before I tasted my first patty.

3. Jimmy Cliff's Many Rivers to Cross . Heard a couple of covers before I heard his song. A variation of this song was my Pop's favorite song, so it reminds me of him.

i would take the music if i had to choose but like both

1. not at all

2. i had the food a couple of times growing up in texas but had way more when i moved to the boston area. the music i was probably introduced to bob marley before i can remember but that probably doesnt even count. i heard a toots and the maytals song in a movie and then got more into the different genres. considering its population size the amount of cultural influence jamaican music has had is incredible.

3. saltfish and ackee or jerk chicken

favorite song is probably this:
