Strictly food business.

I don't listen to Jamaican music or any form of international music, to be honest. I've never really ventured into music from the outside world.

When it comes to Jamaica, I'm all about the food.

Beef patties, oxtails, peas and rice, and plantains, and pretty much most of their food that's commonly accessible in America.

However you want to look at it: quality, impact, popularity, or your personal preference. After you vote, just 3 questions

1.Are you connected to that culture through heritage or marriage? or Not

2 What was your introduction to those parts of JA culture?

3 Favorite song or dish?
One of my parents is from Panama, and if I’m not mistaken, a lot of Panamanians came from JA. So who knows… 🤷🏾‍♂️

I’ve always been into reggae music. I remember going to parties in Queens, as a kid in the early 90’s, and there’d be reggae songs playing. As a grew up and went to parties as a teen, reggae was the only thing that got people dancing. When I tried to be a DJ, I bought a bunch of dancehall vinyl. Wish I still had them.

Favorite song? Too many to choose but I’ll say this one.

And beef patties, jerk chicken and plantain :noah:

1. Heritage

2. Family and friends

3. Probably some old school Kartel, used to be bully beef and rice as a kid, now I've been doing the healthy thing red snapper or callaloo and saltfish with dumplings or boiled banana.

Reggae and dub music is too influential to ignore, tho i like dub more. And before i started my omad i would always get a plate of curry goat with peas, plantains and a side of oxtails from a spot near by.
