When I have kids, I'm thinking about naming them Ackee and Saltfish
But why every time I hit a Caribbean spot, they're either are only serving it on Sunday or only in the mornings? One spot in Florida explained to me that it's a breakfast dish in Jamaica, but that shyt don't taste like breakfast to me.
I drove around Atlanta for an hour and a half Google mapping Jamaican spots trying to find some young Ackee. I had to hit three different spots before I hit the jackpot, and even then, they looked out for the kid, cause they usually don't make it after a certain time. But I can't make that my regular spot because it's too far. Back in Florida, I was good, cause I had a spot that served it everyday, but I live in Atlanta now.
I'm bout to hop in the whip now and hit a few spots I just Googled in Decatur
Y'all need to start serving that shyt regularly. That's my favorite shyt. Plus, I don't eat meat, only fish, so it be a little tough finding takeout spots. Which leads me to another point, why don't all the Caribbean spots serve the veggie chunks
