Y'all really think these shadowy people are playing 4D chess with us simpleton black people?
We demand representation in the game, get some representation, then get absolutely shocked when those people actually play the game?
When we're demanding more blacks in leadership: as CEO's, VPs, etc, what do we think people in those positions really do? Did you think a defense manufacturer would stop making weapons once they hired a black man? Do you think any other CEO - white or asian - moves any differently?
We get what we asked for. We can either be in the room or not. And if we're in the room, sometimes we can at least push back behind the scenes, have a sympathetic ear, or help our community build some economic and political power over time - then make change.
If we're not in the room, we'll remain the permanent martyrs and everyone's social issue cannon fodder forever. Which brings us back to this video: a bunch of black people talking this heated about groups of people who don't give a single fukk about any of them.
