It's more so coz Jamaica is westernized and has more in common with british culture than american (due to british rule) they love football (real football).

These global sporting events bring the strangest shyt outta people. I remember We were beating Argentina's ass in basketball at the 2016 Olympics. They were down by like 30 and going home but you'd never know that judging from the fans. They were drunk as hell and having the time of their life
