he is an alum and Arizona fans starting to put heat on him.

I know he's from the area too but you can contend for titles in Zona most years. Pitt maybe you catch lightning in a bottle every 20 something years and contend

I disagree completely. Ben Howland had them thereabouts and so did Jamie Dixon when they were in the Big East.

I think you can win at Pittsburgh and I think Miller would. Jamie Dixon just didnt adapt to the ACC and didnt recruit well enough.

Archie Miller would be a good hire for them.

Pitt at its best had a bunch of tough northeast kids mostly 3 stars who were physical and overachieved but couldn't put the ball in the basket which you knew every year would be their downfall and why they wouldnt win it all despite having good regular seasons

The talent Zona is getting in 2016 is insane and they will probably get Josh Jackson. Pitt couldn't dream of getting that kinda recruiting class

Hopefully whoever comes in steps up recruiting. Pitt has been taking kids that would be playing at Duquesne or some other D2 program instead of looking for top talent. However I am cautiously optimistic.

Feeling bad for all my former northeast big east schools.

Boston college
Pitt
Syracuse ( coming soon)
Uconn

Going to the ACC/or leaving wasn't the smartest move for them.

On the other hand ShoutOut to Jamie Dixon. Fantastic coach.

damn helluva coaching job. '17 NIT champs. i'm surprised Dixon never won a chip at Pitt.
he either had very good teams that were underseeded the fukk out of, so they ended up in tough first round games, or were high seeds and flamed out before winning a regional. i cant tell you how many years i had some sort of future on pitt and had the :wtf: face when the draw came out

Congrat to TCU, they have a motivated Jamie Dixon

But Jamie Dixon was on autopilot the last 4-5 years at Pitt. He refused to recruit anyone that played on an AAU team. He completely underutilized Steven Adams during his lone year there. Dixon's just a really weird guy too, very socially awkward around people. He wore out his welcome and he kept asking for raises & extensions year after year. It was definitely time for Pitt to move on in a different direction
