This whole wanna act like the production and artistry of this era and Gen is original.
When it is close to twenty years old and dated.
The shyt is wack and is not fooling anyone who actually owns and really knows this type of music.

That made it so the genre lost its mainstream permeation and draw back in 96.
Why would anyone who knows this genre support lower quality work.
That does nuffin but further platoon the genre.
In a lower quality state than what originally caused it to lose its original draw.

Bjork is an interesting analogue but it makes no sense to evaluate Monae's music exclusively using her as a frame of reference. Their goals aren't the same, their skillsets are not the same, they are not in the same lane.

Bjork does not incorporate afrofuturist concepts into her music. Bjork does not incorporate afrobeat into her music. Bjork isn't as funk oriented as Monae. Bjork infuses her music with strong overarching themes while Monae prefers to tell stories.

If you've actually given The Archandroid an honest listen and found nothing worth praising in what she did with it then I don't know what to tell you but the basis on which you've written her off makes absolutely no sense.

One of the worst artist in the genre since the spooks, sneaker pimps, esthereo, and morcheeba.

Stop making excuses for another wack obsolete artist trying to draw in the genre.
The style of bullshyt music she makes was wack fifteen years and still wack, now.
