Wrong! South Korea and other countries have longer working hours than Japan. Japan has different views on population and immigration.

Japan has always been an isolationist country that has held long xenophobia beliefs its ingrained into there culture way before they ever registered as an economic powerhouse.

As well the corporation is seen as a member of the family hence lifetime employment in Japan.
Again stop blaming capitalism for culture!

To all those who say the world is overpopulated then you support the cac European theory that Africans should have fewer children. When Africa fully develops the continent will see a massive population boom. Its a young continent where the average age is 22 I think. So with development, you have longer life spans and a drop in infant mortality and drop of deaths from curable diseases. Add this with the declining European population you know why they are scared. They do not want African to develop because the continent will 5-8 billion easy by 2050. That means alot of men in fighting age. This what the euro cacs fear. But their worst nightmares will be a reality.

Yeah, but what about their quality of life? Will get a better life than the previous generations? Will Africans and *other* inhabitants continue to kill off animal species and cut down trees that help us breathe? A bigger population without figuring out how to supply its resources = disaster.
