Jay Electronica Deactivates Social Media Profiles After Issuing Warning to Eminem

Eminem dropped his Machine Gun Kelly diss "Killshot" last week, and on the song he jokingly accused Diddy of being involved with 2Pac's death. Shortly after the track made its way online, Jay Electronica made it clear how he felt about it all. "How dare you accuse diddy of killing Tupac while you completely look pass Jimmy Iovine and those who profited from his death the MOST," he tweeted. "You best tread carefully Son, before i come tear your ivory tower down like Sulaiman done the Templar Knights." Now, Jay has completely vanished from Twitter following the tweets.

As Pitchfork notes, Jay's Instagram has also suddenly disappeared. Weirdly enough, though, following the deletion or deactivation of both of his social media profiles, his Dream and JAY-Z collab "Shiny Suit Theory" resurfaced on Tidal. When Jay Electronica taketh, Jay Electronica also giveth, apparently.


On "Killshot," Em rapped, "Killshot I will not fail, I'm the Doc still/But this idiot's boss pops pills and tells him he's got skills/But kells, the day you put out a hit's the day Diddy admits/That he put the hit out that got Pac killed." Before the song ends, Em does clarify, however, "And I'm just playin' Diddy, you know I love you."

It remains unclear as to what his disappearance from social media has to do with the diss, if anything, but the timing is certainly suspect.
