Now see, the life's right there
And it seems right there
Its not quite near,
And its not like we're professionals movin' the decimals
Know where to cop? Nah! got a connect? No!
Who under Heaven know how to be successful
Need a Personal Jesus, I'm in Depeche Mode
They say its celestial, its all in the stars
It's like Tony LaRussa
On how you play your cards
You all ain't fukking with me!
The ironies are
And at all costs better before he was bars
Now lets start, on your mark
Get set, lets go-get out the car!
Going in circles, its a vicious cycle
This is a crash course, this ain't high school
Wake up, Muttley, you're dreamin' again
Your own reality show, the season begins

:to: the pain and poetry....dude poured his soul ....

jay is very philosophical...the way he talk about his personal ambitions vs morality in his songs ..... how he talk about the viciousness of capitalism and being a black man in a system that's set to destroy us

this guy dont get enough credit for being a true artist...hes a hustler to, but he explain why hes so business orientated , its the fear of being destitute, the thought drove him to the point of insanity....hes so afraid of becoming a statistic he drove himself over the edge mentally.....now he wants more and more..... and hell get it by any means necessary....mentally hes afraid of losing , being on the bottom again

this guy is a genius

Few of my fav from nas but the thing about nas is that his ear for beats is always below jay. This is exactly why people would want to hear a jay z project before a nas project. Still my top 5 tho none the less.

"the dumb are mostly intrigued by the drum" - masta killa :francis:

the beat plays a very significant role but what is that emcee sayin' that he took some time to think and write about :jbhmm:

That is definitely true breh but sadly that's all people want to hear now a days. I personally love beats as a producer but the artist work comes first. Not to say Hov is garbage or anything.
