Alot of times people fall into the illusion of "ownership"

I always give this example of me saying having a house is a scam
I grew up in a house with my parents and siblings. The amount of expenses they had to come out of pocket was absolutely crazy. And they still have to do worry about today. So much liability if something in your home mechanically breaks down

I started renting a condo about about 3 years ago and it changed my whole viewpoint. Having 24/7 maintenance is so awesome. A property manager that will fix things in your condo no problem

Now when I'm looking to buy in a couple of years, I'm getting either a Condo or Townhouse


100% ownership means 100% of the liability and the costs that comes with it

My nikka. You assuming you always gonna be able to make money. The simplest reason to own a house is the peace of mind of knowing you got a place to rest your head, regardless of what life throws at you.

And the fact you mentioned “looking to buy condo or townhouse” in the future, says a lot. Again you’re assuming scenarios you should not. When you’re ready to buy, will your ideal kind of town house Or condo be available at the price you wanted? Will it be in a neighborhood you want. Etc.
