yo I got slugs for stitches, no love for bytches,
putting thugs in ditches when my trigger finger itches
:wow: top 5 opening bars.

Scary to imagine how good he'd have gotten. He's still my number 1 regardless

That's fukked up cause of his brother got beef with. His enemy wanted to murder him but can't cause L's brother was in the prison. So the only way to get him is Big L. :mjcry:

He robbed us.

True, Big L was the better lyricist but Hov had the complete package. Will, after he took Nas's flow he been perfect ever since.

Big L was not a better lyricist he was a better, and more potent punchline rapper.

In a radio freestyle setting I would put Big L at #1

I can see what you saying

I do value punchline rappers too high in regard with lyricism because them clever punchlines hit you harder than rappers who actually be rapping about real stuff

I also hold Cassidy in a high regard far as lyricaism go but in debates I had to concede he wasn't saying talking about nothing just being clever with the wordplay. So, I can see what you saying.

But Jay-Z the goat to me

Better to reign in Hell than serve in Heaven
Yo, I got slugs for snitches, no love for bytches
Puttin' thugs in ditches when my trigger finger itches
I got a rep that make police jet, known to get a priest wet
I never beg for p*ssy like Keith Sweat
Is Big L slow? Hell no!
bytches get fukked on the roof when I ain't got no hotel dough; I'm known for yokin' Japs
And beatin' them with smokin' gats
Leavin' token Blacks with broken backs and open caps

I'm tellin' you shyt is about to get drastic soon
I'm quick to blast a goon
And break a mothafukker like a plastic spoon

All through high school I had braids, I kept mad blades
Stabbin' teachers to death that gave me bad grades

Brothers can beg and borrow, still feel sorrow
When Jay Z, like Zorro, get in that ass, better luck tomorrow

I mack like Goldie, go back like the oldie
But the goody, pullin' R&B bytches, wearin' hoodies

Enticin' when slicin' through tracks
You're screamin': "Jesus Christ, he's back!"
And God knows he can rap
Me and L put rhythm on the map, so give him his dap
And me, I just take mine
Gimme those, gimme this, gimme that—fukk that!

Surprise, I feel no fear when facing y'all
Bet your lyrics jump off the track like racing cars

Ayo, my crew be deliverin' hot lead when gats are clenched
Rappers I jack and lynch; nobody can fukk with the way
I be killin' them shyts in rap events
Big L is the nikka you expect
To catch wreck on any cassette deck
I'm so ahead of my time my parents haven't met yet
I'm feelin' like Billy Bathgate
My rap style is past great
I love to fukk a bytch from the back and watch her ass shake
I probly got your mommy strung
nikkas hear me and take more notes than Connie Chung

That fast rap tho :wow:

You running with boys, I'm running with men
I'm a keep gripping these mics until I'm 110
Have you nikkas like dammit this nikka done done it again
