My favorite song is probably "The Prelude". I don't even see this as "Euro Hov". This album just wasn't good and is possibly his worst album overall, but still lyrically better than MCHG. He was lazy on that album. If had to compare:

Songs worth revisiting from KC:

The Prelude ( best song on either album)
Lost Ones
30 Something
Kingdom Come
Do You Wanna Ride
Beach Chair

Songs worth revisiting from MCHG:

Heaven
Somewhere In America
Jay Z Blue
Part II
Oceans
FWItMeYouKnowIGotIt
Beach Is Better

Basically, if we see the word "beach" on a Jay Z tracklist just know he's subliminally telling us he's on vacation, so don't expect much.

I liked this album a lot actually. MCHG and BP3 are easily worse.

Songs I love and still play today

- Prelude, his best intro
- Show me what you got, underrated single IMO
- Do you wanna ride, classic
- Beach chair

I even like the joint with Usher, Jay always has these random chick songs that everyone hates but me lol

He was tried too hard to make "grown man" music.

Sounded forced.

If I had to pick, probably Dig a Hole or Lost One.

I'm betting most people say Lost One.

Let's see.

I'll be the oddball and ride with Hollywood, he was flowing, it's bouncy, versatile and probably the most natural song he and Beyonce have together.

"When the fame starts, chain-reaction, loco-motion like when a train departs"

Funny enough, I was defending this album and HHID by Nas heavy when they dropped cuz they both caught a lot of hate. If you told Jay and Nas to both make a song about the ills of fame, you'd get Hollywood and Blunt ashes.
