Im talking age range, women, others, casuals. This matchup bringing people out

Im gonna see if you keep it real

If you and your peoples life depended on it. You have to list 2 songs of the last 20 years that nas is known for. You need to get 5 out of 100 random people who follow rap name to name 2 nas songs in the last 20 years. Or you dead

How good are your chances of living?

Also just as many women fukk with Nas as Jay especially those who are big about their music, that’s why you get numerous Rnb soul singers like Amy Winehouse, Teedra Moses making odes to Nas or some like Solange Jennifer Lopez saying he was their number one rapper. Nas has a lot of Rnb features that resonate with women, Thank God I Found You, Love Is All We Need, Cherry Wine, You Owe Me, Did You Ever Think, If I Ruled The World, 10k Hours.

t
Versus have been very cultural events, a song like Oochie Wally or You Owe Me might not strike a cord with casuals but a certain demographics of women of a certain age it would resonate with and those happen to be a big part of the Versus crowd.

Street songs like Shoot Em up will get a bigger reaction than Show Me What You Got or Run This Town despite the other two being bigger commercial hits.
If street records are the thing Nas or nobody else stands a chance

If thats the case nas would sold more than 1 million with a album since 2002

Busta

Said that the last time this topic came up

Jay Z don’t have that many hits but his hits are evergreen. Busta would be perfect

Kanye is too much for Jay. He’s up there with Drake as far as hits go.

Depends what type of Hit, Hard Knock Life is evergreen in all respects but Run This Town isn’t, commercially it is but it’s a bit corny overall.

Ok you nikkas are just trolling.

And every day i am more like @CrimsonTider (which is soul destroying)... But seriously, how dusty are you nikkas?

Killer Mike???

He's obviously great, but what are we doing here? Who's next to be mentioned, Freddie Gibbs? :mjlol:
Killer Mike is crazy…:russ:

The women Im talking about are 35+, different demographics Jay has far more casual cacs who listen to him, you’re right, the younger generations below 25 dont really listen to either.
Jay z has more
Street records
Ladies fans
Cac fans
Younger fans
More hits
Better performer

So what is nas path to winning?

Songs thats not singles like PSA & You Dont Know is as big as any Nas song.

Jay ain’t on Ye’s level musically. We need to be fukking for real here
He’s not a better artist than Ye at all. However, Jay is still the boss of all bosses in Hip Hop culture. Ye is the king of music and modern culture but even that pays homage to hip hop. Jay is still a very important figure in culture period so he’s not exactly defeated, he’s just not active. Jay is like Paulie in Goodfellas. He doesn’t make as many moves as he used to but with a wave of his hand he could still possibly end your life.

Record wise, he still has a catalog that can contend and he’s got one of the best stage presence/ aura factors in the game.

Yes Ye has greater music and current influence overall and that’s the reason why he’s the only one that can stand toe to toe. I give Ye the edge anyway, but like I said, Hov has quiet power that shouldn’t be underestimated. Verzuz is not 100% about hits or records. Stage presence, confidence and the timing of your selections play a huge part of how these things are won and both are very smart and calculated.

Nobody who is smart and knows the culture should ever fix their mouth to say Jay would get washed. That’s fukking crazy talk.
