Common and Mos been tied for a minute, for me.

But both are usually at around 9-10. Maybe 11-12 other times, lol.
I need to get into Mos Def....never really listened to him much.

Funny thing is....pre 2023....yes, 2023 I was not a big Common fan. I was born in 83....so I remember loving "I used to love her" and then the 'BE" album in college. Outside of that, I didn't like the music because it was too soft for me. I didn't like the drums, I didn't like the subject matter. None of it.

I guess I got old lol...because I read a coli thread actually and went and listened to his discography multiple times. I loved that shyt. The "corny" subject matter felt mature to me and resonated with me being where I was in life. I like the production because it was so varied and I loved No ID. I used to HATE Common's flow. It used to sound to me like a lawnmower that could never quite get going. Now I love it. Outside of singles-besides BE, I missed his classics in real time...but man its been a pleasure "discovering them." He has one of the best discographies in the game easily. So he bullied his way into my top 10.

My top 10: *No order besides...depending on the day, Pac or Nas is #1*: Nas, Pac, Cube, Scarface, Biggie, Jay, Kendrick, Ghostface, Common, Juvie

That's wild!

I liked Common's last album with Pete, but honestly haven't revisited it since around the time it dropped. But Resurrection is one of my favorite albums of all-time, so after that dropped, I became a huge fan of dude's. After Finding Forever, I wasn't really into the direction his music was taking, but I would still check for each project. Thing is, he's dropped so much classic sh*t that I listen to all the time, he's definitely found a place in my Top 10.
