Yikes at some of these responses
Just a public service reminder for those that may not have been given this advice growing up.
Never voluntarily surrender any data or information you are not legally required to give up.
If the cop asks can the search your car just to prove you don't have anything illegal, always answer no.
Can they take a quick peak in the trunk? No.
If the cops show up at your front door without a warrant and asks to come inside or search, no warrant, stay your ass outside.
If they say a neighbor called in a wellness check or a complaint and just want to take a look around, do not voluntarily invite them inside. Tell them to come back with a warrant and close your door.
If cops ever make contact with you but you aren't detained, you do not have to answer their questions during a "voluntary" interview. If you are free to to leave, exercise that right and walk away.
Do not ever give them your phone without a warrant.
Do not ever give them a swab of your dna without a warrant.
Anywho, proceed
