No I didn’t. When the Nets signed him in 2019 it was with the understanding he would be taking the first year off to rehab and recover.

The Nets were desperate to get KD and were fine with any timeline he gave them, and you keep glossing over Covid/Bubble happening

Kyrie was on record that people should not be in the bubble, and majority of Nets players never even went to Orlando to play

Just stop lol

I’m not glossing over anything. The plan was for KD to sit out the entire first year before Covid. What does Covid have to do with that?

KD sat out for 18 months, why do you keep saying a year?

Stop wasting my time

He can take his time coming back and still play late next season if he’s 100%. At a certain point you’re getting nothing from him resting if he’s not actually recovering anymore
If he's 100% come March/April fine. But if he's rushing back to return before the all-star break, I would assume is foolish

If he returns after All Star, that’s 10 months post-surgery.

Not unprecedented for him to come back.

I can’t imagine what the old nikkas were saying when AD came back fast from his ACL :pachaha:at one point that was an automatic career killer no matter what, then you had an anomaly or two mixed with medical advancements making it a serious, but 100% recoverable injury.

They already have new techniques for Achilles surgery, on top of him getting the surgery ASAP and being younger making a difference. Plus he may just be an anomaly.

I mentioned months ago how Cam Akers came back 6 months after tearing his right achilles and getting speed bridge surgery. 2 years later he tore his left achilles and came back 10 months later. Aaron Rodgers came back on the practice field to do light work 11 weeks after getting the speed bridge. He came back to full time practice with no restrictions in 8 months after surgery. Deshaun Watson had the speed bridge surgery and re-ruptured the achilles 3 months later. Right now i'm nervous for JT. He's 4 months post surgery and already doing light drills. I'm just hoping he doesn't roll his ankle and snap his shyt up again. One positive for Jayson is he was in New York City when the injury occurred. The Doctor that performs that surgery is in NYC and was able to do the surgery the same night I believe. Doctors say that the sooner you get that surgery post injury, the better it will heal.
