Look man…I don’t give a fukk either way. I’m what you’d call non partisan. Tatum has done enough

Chip
Two Finals appearances
Multiple ECFs
Multiple 1st teams

He scores
He defends
He rebounds
He facilitates

On pace to break several Celtic records related to individual statistics

Removing as much bias as possible and just looking at the numbers he’s already in the 40-50 conversation

I don’t think the vast majority of people could even rank players past their Top 10.

Top 50 is effectively meaningless in terms of debate.

There’s a lot of passion between whether a guy should rank 3rd or 6th.

Nobody could care about whether the guy ranked 35th really deserves to be 29th or whatever.

Calling Jayson Tatum Top 50 inspires more shrugs than argument.

Just usin Bleacherreport top 100 not sayin they list accurate but just a rough estimate of 40-50. They got

Nique
Pierce
Westbrook
Hayes
McHale
AD
Frazier
Gervin
Barry
Ewing
Drexler

How many those players Tatum greater than?

Somebody in the media said, Tatum doesn't make you feel anything

He's the first player I ever saw dominate KD in a series on both ends

He should've won finals mvp

He's first team all nba every yr

Imo, he's a top 50 player

Tatum ain't dominate shyt on defense he played his role great. That was all scheme, closin off lanes, zonin or doublin every possession on and off ball.

By that logic Grant Williams was dominatin KD on defense lol. It was all Udoka scheme, havin multiple great defenders and Brooklyn havin no offensive system or rhythm wit all the offcourt issues, losin Harden so there was always another Celtic blitzin play, 2-3 others shadin hard or ready to leave they assignment to help literally every play.

If Tatum was capable of dominatin KD on defense we'd have seen in the season before they played each in playoffs but JB was out and they ain't trade for White yet. Tatum was helpless and KD had 33/7/3/2 on 55/50/92 shootin in just 37 MPG. It was a elite scheme by a top 3 coach, the best defensive coach and multiple great defenders. And Brooklyn had a bunch of off court issues and no system specially after Harden demandin out.

Tatum is difficult to gauge. I don't even know who I'd compare him to career-wise.

He's had some incredible highs as well as lows. When he's bad, you wonder what he'd do if he didn't play on really good Boston teams his entire career.

Above the fray.
What position does he play? Small Forward? Are there 10 SFs better than him in league history?

Loaded position and a LOT of them have rings too.

I'm a big Tatum backer, but if he never plays again....I dont have him in top 10 SFs
