A lot of that American success was achieved at the expense of black people. It's a problem when another black man continues that cycle. I know that there aren't any ethical standards in this country when it comes to making money but Jay-Z is allowing himself to be a pawn and a corporate whore. He could at least have some dignity. How many times has he plugged some expensive product or brand and the creators of it completely shytted on him?

This nothing but junk. Now blacks can't get money off blacks now ok. see i actually live near the barclay center

and as a home owner its great all those people are gone

why?

because they dont tell you how horrible of an area it actually was

TONS OF CRIME because its the hood

now all these developers came in and pushed out all the undesirables and the area is a far more nicer place to live

plus it raised my property value


now to be fair

not everyone was bad of course

the irony is no one is looking at all the jobs people were able to get due to this

not just the barclay center but a massive amount of businesses opened up in the area from express to h&m and uniqlo

plus current businesses that were there are happy about all the new traffic from customers as its become a tourist attraction as well


making millions of dollars of revenue a year plus THOUSANDS of jobs for people


and jay is the bad one? dude owned what 0.1% which as small as it is i think based on a report i had read before earned him like 1 mil a year


anyone of ya would have done the same deal and did the same thing

Someone who did whatever he could for financial gain and sold his soul in the process.

My thing is damn near everybody gets "pimped" out (aka answering to somebody higher up) by somebody whether its Jay or the avg 9 to 5 worker. Somebody always is going to be getting more usually doing less and using you as a figurehead of sorts. That's why I always say this is some bullshyt people use to sound good but it doesn't except to others just like them.
