I respect the effort, but there are way too many instances of trying to force square pegs in round holes here. Some flows are off beat, some things clearly aren't tailored to Jeezy's voice(or his voice+vocal efx was never suited for the the original in the first place), it's all over the map. Just Blaze would have done these tracks better justice...or maybe a sane Kanye.
Better that he smoothed out his sound and looked for some kind of midpoint instead of jumping out the window for these OG tracks, because...
Guru's wisdom still holds up to this day. It's mostly the voice.



Love these visuals though. Be a grown man unapologetically.

I slept on this hard, thought it would just be Jeezy going through the same motions. But I checked it after hearing De La mention it in their albums of the year.

I really fukked with this, I like the party vibe, Jeezy having fun, funky West Coast beats are hitting. Will keep this in rotation, great album to run to.
