WIN or lose against Manny Pacquiao on Sunday, a wholehearted effort from Jeff Horn will still make him a global boxing star, according to history’s greatest fight promoter.

He said: “Win or lose, if Jeff Horn performs well – and I believe he will give an outstanding account of himself – he will end up as a major star in the US because so many eyeballs will have seen him.’’

“This fight will dwarf anything Manny has ever done in the US,’’ Arum said.

“He (Pacquiao) believes his experience will carry the day,’’ Arum said.

“Athletes get older and they don’t always perform as well as they did. The question is how old has Manny become.’’

Or maybe Horn wants a new promoter all together... either way, this whole situation stinks. Pacquiao don't deserve to go out like this. KO, fine, get dominated, fine... but not like this. Especially by his own people.

I don't have anything against Horn, he did WAY better than expected and thus his stock has risen. He didn't pull an Algieri. However, I can see him dropping the title just as quick as he got it if he attempts to unify.

Horn is going to be PBC free then.

I know that everyone thinks that Arum is behind this, but I don't see it. He's seen enough boxing to know that Horn will be short lived to invest a fix in him. He could have done this with Vargas or someone far better skilled who won't need the judges to get Horn out. Like they said before the telecast, dude has been to the mat before, however, Manny didn't get him on the mat. Anybody that is top in 147 is taking Horn out, that's easy, so why have Horn, of all people, hold up the WBO belt? Makes no sense because all people at that weight smell blood in the water. Ain't nobody going to Australia to fight him unless a scrub goes there. Outside of that, he's gotta come stateside now. Isn't Manny the mandatory now or are they waving it off? Roach didn't think Manny looked so hot either. Trying to be a senator and a boxer ain't what's hot in the streets. Tough to do one, can't do both. Manny looked unlike himself in the fight, compared to very recent fights. It's time to move on.

Pac wasn't a defensive star, but prime PAC is 100x the offensive fighter Horn is. Horn was VISIBLY outfoxed by a 38 year old Pac. I don't know you just hate Manny or something, but you're talking ridiculous right now. Horn is very obviously a bum who doesn't have basic fundamentals and he doesn't seem to have much pop behind his punches, man landed 73 power punches (as the bigger and stronger guy) and other than a head butt, Manny looked good as new. Btw, he goes in with his head far too often and pretty much has no counter punch, no change up from power punches, no strategy with hitting. He has to get exposed

If he even gets scheduled against a marquee welter weight any time soon, it'd be impressive enough. The only way it wouldn't be a 3 round KO would be a rigged result or Arum finds a instructor who completely revolutionizes this man's fighting style.
