Most of the conservative politicians and media personalities are already circling the wagons. For example, Megyn Kelly came out and questioned if fukking 15 year olds really qualifies as pedophilia.

I never said that wasn't likely the case, but it does effect the rest of the party and affects them being voted out before midterms. They tried to sneak in a vote before the petition was signed just so their names wouldn't be tied to who voted for or against. They played with fire and rallied their base for this and ended up shooting themselves in the foot.

These people have ambitions past Trump. MTG voted for this to be released. She wants to run for Senate or Governorship and knows she can't do it without this albatross hanging around her party. There are other members who have similar ambitions. They'll do what they can to stop it from coming to vote (as will Trump), but at the end, more people are going to vote for the release because they know how bad it'll look if they're on record saying "Don't release the Epstein files". That's even if/when nothing happens to Trump.

Snowflake (MTG) and Osama Bin Karen (Nancy Mace) are the only ones who publicly see the Trump/Epstein connection as an off ramp to distance themselves from the material to further their careers. Both are too polarizing to win a statewide election in their respective states, but even they are smart enough to realize covering for a Pedo in the name of a political party is not the right move.

The real test now is to see how many Republicans join Dems in the house and how quickly the Senate will take it up. They better hope they get 2/3 in each house bc trump will probably veto and they'll need to override. Between this all kinds of shenanigans can take place. Wouldn't be surprised if they try and delay delay delay and then at the last second the admin will come out for a special prosecutor.
