grand opening............grand closing
CBS has decided the wise choice is to stop making new episodes of "Wisdom of the Crowd."
CBS announced it will not pick up any new episodes of the Jeremy Piven drama beyond its initial 13-episode order. The network's decision comes as CBS is investigating multiple sexual harassment claims against Piven, including one lodged by "Entourage" actress Ariane Bellamar. The actor has responded to all of the allegations by saying they are "absolutely false and completely fabricated."
Though the sexual harassment allegations might be part of the reason CBS is declining to order more episodes, the freshman drama has also not been a breakout hit, ranking as the least-watched Sunday night series for the network. It averages 8.9 million viewers, according to "The Hollywood Reporter," trailing the more critically-acclaimed drama, "Madam Secretary."

The remaining four episodes of "Wisdom of the Crowd" are currently scheduled to air in the series' regular Sunday night timeslot. At this time, it is unclear if the network will order episodes for a second season, and the series is not officially "canceled."
"Wisdom of the Crowd" is not the only freshman CBS series to be essentially canceled. "Me, Myself & I" learned earlier this year that CBS would not be receiving additional episodes and the comedy pulled from the schedule.
