Nope.

First of all his 'runs' included children so not sure what he influenced exactly with Kriss Kross and Lil Bow Wow in Atlanta...

Second, no one cares about his music still. People still like Outkast.

Just say that you are unfamiliar with Jd’s credits breh. The bolded is untrue.

Usher went diamond :mjlol::mjlol::mjlol:

He also produced for Mariah Carey, Usher, Jay, Jagged Edge, Ludacris...

It's cool to say this now about 'Kast and I agree, I still bump all their shyt. However, it's a bit revisionist.. JD was HOT in ATL back in those days and easily the go to producer and he's made classics too. He's right on this one

You have no idea of the extent of his involvement in a lot of major artists' works do you? He's done wayyyyyy more than Kriss Kross and Bow Wow:russ:

He's the reason Atlanta has a major presence in hip hop and R&B today.

1. I kinda think JD is buggin

2. But I can see how he might think that, you look at Atlanta in 2018 it can feel like the ethos reflects more of JD’s ‘money ain’t a thang’ style as opposed to that Dungeon Fam eccentric ‘Get up, Get Out, Get something’ attitude. I’m talking about the ethos not necessarily the music

3. There’s something to be said about JD staying around the younger guys, even did the New Atlanta a few years back, while OutKast has mostly kept the course, 3000 is basically out of it and Big Boi is more on his own career, which to his credit hasn’t involved catering to the kids w/ Future Hooks, jocking Migos flow etc. Big Boi has kept his OG lane he isn’t trying to ‘adapt’ (he doesn’t need to).

All this to say...... naw I still think it’s OutKast :russ:

TYRONE GA!
Nah, Outkast had more influence with their music.

Xscape had no influence
Da Brat had no influence
Bow Wow had none
Jagged Edge I'm a fan but no

You gotta look at his work as a whole, not just on his label. JD was the one that blew Usher up (My Way).

His work in both hip hop and R&B speaks for itself. Go peep that nikka's producer's credits.

Usher went diamond :mjlol::mjlol::mjlol:

He also launched Mariah Carey into her second prime with Emancipation of Mimi and E=MC

And has made countless hits for Usher

JD has been directly involved in some of the biggest R&B albums and hits of all time.

Ok I was looking at it from his music and the people on his label standpoint not what he produced.
