Jerry Jones: What people 'remember is what you do in December'
By Ryan Wilson | CBSSports.com

December 3, 2013 11:17 am ET

Good news: The Cowboys have won two straight, are now 7-5 on the season, and lead the NFC East.

Bad news: The Eagles, on a four-game winning streak, are also 7-5, and the two teams meet in the regular-season finale in a matchup that not only could decide the NFC East, but who advances to the playoffs.

So it with with measured optimism that Dallas owner and general manager Jerry Jones looks ahead to the final month of the season.

“We've always known that what they remember is what you do in December,” Jones told105.3 The Fan. :lupe:

This is where we point out that the Cowboys haven't been particularly impressive in December. Two years ago, they lost three of their final four regular-season contests and watched the Giants backdoor their way into the playoffs -- and their second Super Bowl title in five years.

In 2012, the Cowboys lost a Week 17 game to the Redskins, who wound up winning the division and hosting a playoff game.

Oh, and there's this: Tony Romo sports an 11-15 record in December. :dahell:

When asked about it, Jones offered this: “I think it's real,” he said. “You can probably tie that to why we have had disappointment in December. It's hard to build up enough edge to play at that level during December. You better have your arrow going up rather than going down.”

Jones expects linebacker Sean Lee to return for Monday's matchup against the Bears after missing two games with a hamstring injury. However, second-year cornerback Morris Claiborne is listed as questionable.

“We can't expect to be where we all want to be unless we play better than we've played the last two years," Jones conceded. :wow:

Topics: Morris Claiborne, Sean Lee, Tony Romo, Ryan Wilson, Dallas Cowboys, NFL
is this what the cowboys locker room needs right now heading into the final stretch? :lupe:

will they be able to hold on to the division with a favorable schedule and being held as the favorites to lock up the division, even with this extra talk from Mr. Jerry Jones? :lupe:

Can rhomo perform down the stretch and get dallas the division crown? :lupe:

Be an Owner of a team and especially a QB who folds under pressure moments and apply it more through the media brehs.
:stopitslime:

These nigggas are grown, media pressure isn't pressure. They know what they got to do no matter what an outlet is/isn't reporting. They don't need Jerry to motivate them. Jerry just doing what Jerry does, creating a headline and make people talk about the Cowboys. Ain't NOBODY on the team worried about that clown.
can't wait for these clowns to implode
I bet

How are games played 3-4 years ago relevant

How are games played 2 years ago relevant, the same way.

There's a reason those goofy situational timeline stats are always used, usually it's agenda based.

Because really, who sits around and thinks "Who has the most comebacks since 2011?

Nah, it's agenda stuff to make a guy look good, you go back to 2010 and he might be 5th or something haha
