not that magic has made great personnel decisions, but i dont agree with the idea that the way you built a team around lebron in the past is the blueprint to follow now if you build a team around him at all with it looking like hes on the downside of his career, and the lakers not already having 2 all stars in their prime. i dont think its a philosophy issue in that regard, the lakers have let talent go while bringing in lesser talent thus continually putting themselves in the position every offseason where they are swinging for the fences hoping theres a solitary free agent savior out there that doesnt exist.
of course everyone could use more shooting, but the lakers bigger problem this season was health. whats odd is they have 6 rotation guys who shot above the league avg from 3 last year, all below average this year. their only two guys above the league avg from 3 this year are lance and rondo.
