Freddie wanted a proper album rollout the way he does for his projects. Curren$y tends to drop music and move onto the next project quickly. Freddie thought Fetti deserved more than what Curren$y gave it in terms of promotion (Alfredo basically got the acclaim and attention he wanted Fetti to get)

Basically there's no real wrong party (Curren$y probably coulda gave Fetti more of a press run and videos and stuff, but Freddie didn't realize he was dealing with a guy who bludgeons fans with music and then has a new project ready immediately), but Freddie constantly dwelling on it makes him look like he's in his feelings cuz Curren$y doesn't care and it's really tough to be the one opp for someone who doesn't make enemies.

Then add Alch in the mix...how much media promo do any of Alch's collab albums get? Not much. I don't see Alch doing interviews with Gibbs or Boldy nonstop on Bootleg Kev or the more popular radio shows. They announce the drop, get fans activated, set up limited vinyl runs and then drop the album. And it works! So I dunno what Gibbs mad about.

Only real explanation that makes sense to me is Gibbs needed money and needed to hit certain sales metrics in order to get a better major label deal. IIRC he signed with RCA after that, for the Madlib album. Prob blames Spitta for hurting his chances at whatever advance he wanted lol. Gibbs a corny nikka lol.

Alchemist did pretty heavy promo runs for the Larry June projects - he did Breakfast Club for both Great Escape and Life Is Beautiful. Not sure if he did Sway for Life Is Beautiful but they def did it for Great Escape - did some Complex interviews for Life Is Beautiful though.

Most he should be doing is using Empire or even Roc Nation for some distro. Run some merch. He’s not the type of artist to take advances from labels and be pushing to be added to the iHeartMedia playlist lol

I think he has both like Curren$y. Looks like he's signed to Warner (last RCA album was Bandana) or at least that's what its showing for Soul Sold Separately. The Alfredo albums are on him and Al's label and distributed by Empire. You Only Die 1nce was AWAL and Freddie's label. It's weird but looks like most of his shyt is done independently except for certain albums.

He typically does distribution deals for specific albums but if I remember correctly the Madlib album was an actual multi-album deal with RCA. They were planning on dropping Montana soon-ish but the Egon lawsuit fukkery delayed that shyt.

Alfredo 2 is on a major. You only Die 1nce was on AWAL which is an indie with a parent distributor linked to Sony.

FWIW, Spitta was on Atlantic for a long ass time; they just let him do whatever he wanted.

How do you know Gibbs can't fight, where was any 1v1 in any of these situations? Dude went to Buffalo got jumped, still did his show, still got paid and left, sounds like he held his own to me given the circumstances, wasnt no L.
