Of COURSE they're going to make sure a player they signed for big bucks would get playing time. Sanchez success JUSTIFIES keeping Tanny and the guys upstairs around. So they HAD to give Sanchez chance after chance to play himself into form to justify his signing and keep their jobs.

So why wasn't the Tebow trade justified?

:comeon:

Making a run in the playoffs will always be >>>> justifying a signing and failing. Giving Fez more time to prove that his contact WASN'T justified was an asinine point about 5 games into the season, but definitely after Thanksgiving. All justification after that game was thrown out the window... And they still stuck with him

I'm about to start up this Tyler Bray bandwagon.

I say we draft him and roll the dice :manny:

Sorry...but front offices that make mistakes ride players all the time in order to save their front office job. After the Thanksgiving game they were still in playoff contention. so bringing that up further proves my point if you bother to look at context....but will you bother to? I say no because you're more interested in winning an argument on the Internet instead of seeing that your point was taken apart. You haven't taken apart mines. You strengthened it.

Front offices make that decision IF THE PLAYER IS WORTH IT. Was that never clear to you? If Sanchez could play well enough to pad stats ina losing effort you'd have a point. If he could lead the team offensively in any modicum of a stretch that could justify his contract you might have a point. But he could not and did not do either. You think you have a point but your point is baseless and lives only in fiction. No team is playing the worst qb in the league to justify his contract when all he has shown is proof that he never earned it in the first place. Any GM, coach, or talent evaluator would have put dude to the side early before anyone could truly see how wretched he really is. Now the Jets are stuck with an untradeable qb and are most likely out of a job because they did the very thing you're trying to defend. It makes no sense and you insult everyone's intelligence by claiming it does. Especially since they had an out in Tim Tebow which they never even bothered to use.

At the end of the day... These nikkas didn't have a clue what they were doing. Your owner says he'd like to see one of your backups start and you deactivate him next game to " justify your (horrible) contract" for your horrible quarterback. In no world is this sensible

The front office made that decision BEFORE SANCHEZ PROVED HE WAS WORTH IT. And in trying to FIND OUT, they kept his bum ass on the field longer than they should have in order to justify signing him and why they should keep their jobs.

Pointing out to the obvious that he sucked is obvious. I'm saying its what kept Sanchez on the field longer than he should have been.

It starts from the top on down, but here you are giving the Roger Goodell treatment saying the underlings (Rex) are just as much as fault when I'm looking at it from the Tagliabue pov saying that its the ones above (the dysfunctional front office) them giving the orders.

If it is the front office, then this might be the dumbest franchise in league history. That's all I'm saying. This went way beyond him playing longer than he was supposed to... We knew that after 5 starts. But then he played past Thanksgiving...... That's an entirely other step past justification of a contract

But you mentioned the playoffs. Saying "we knew" means nothing. "They" wanted a chance to say "see!! The guy we signed for $8 million for next reason rebounded and got us into the playoffs!!"

That's what kept Sanchez on the field. Keep thinking that the moment they were knocked out from playoff contention and McElroy was named the starter thereafter is a mere coincidence. :heh:

There was no chance of this so........:dwillhuh:

And if the front office didn't or weren't willing to see it then they earned their pink slip

I think the Jets need to clean house...but on a positive note(I guess) its impossible to judge the players on offense with this type of QB play.

Sanchez gave bad new meaning this season.
