...try to make a trade for Josh Gordon?

We need skill players badly, and the Browns are offering him.

Looking at his suspension history, I'd go as far as offering a 3rd rounder and a player. Thoughts?

Geno needs a real receiver. Dude is young and has tons of upside, but is risky as fukk with that drug history.

I wouldn't hate it. I think Cleveland ends up keeping him though.

Go for it. A third and a player sounds clean, but who is the question. If we can't find someone, then a third and a conditional.

Browns have had that offer though, from different team and they won't budge until they get offered a 2nd

Offer a 3rd and a player. Then draft Sammy Watkins, Mike Evans or Marqise Lee.

Not worth the headache. I know ppl think Rex can fix anybody's personal demons but with the positive direction this team is going I wouldn't go that route. Geno is playing solid football. Plus how much impact will a midsession trade for a wr have. When was the last time a mid season trade for a wr had great results.

A 3rd round pick could've gotten y'all Terence Williams or Keenan Allen last draft. Both were picked 5 spots after Winters

You might have to give up a first when you consider age, upside and contract. Really theres no reason to deal him unless they're not happy with his character

Off the field issues are overrated. So long as what a player's behavior doesn't negatively affect their football, it doesn't matter. Gordan will be fine. He's a Demaryius Thomas type and worth a third.

Dog...this dude just came off a four game suspension for the same issues that followed him since college.

And Geno needs more skill players around him. That receiver corp is suspect outside of Kerely. Holmes is always injured, Hill is still growing and Nelson is a stiff.

They can't be overrated in this situation if they're the reason that he's even on the trade block

This is a no-brainer as far as Im concerned...

Were talking about a 24 year old AJ Green type of talent and the Jets gave up a 2nd for Braylon who wasn't half the player Gordon is...

Besides that the Jets currently have one of the worst WR corp in the league...We have no skill position players...You are not going to find a talent like Josh Gordon in the draft...Id give Cleveland something like Milliner and a second for Gordon in a heartbeat...

I want Sammy Watkins, but I'm not even sure we'll be bad enough to get him.

I'd def give up a 2nd for Gordon. Remember when the Jets traded for Holmes who was given a 4 game suspension? I say that's worked out pretty well for us from an off field/personality standpoint. He hasn't been in any trouble since.

I'd be willing to take the risk for Gordon as well, who is an even more talented receiver
