Was trippin back then and even now how some of my favorite groups n artists that I grew up listening to was droppin HEAT. It was crazy because when you went up in the record store EVERYBODY would be in there buying the same damn album. Real talk, you had lil old white ladies in glasses squintin, reading from a piece of paper askin for the nikkaz4life album, muthafukkaz in line clownin yellin out "THAT NEW NWA TAPE!!!!!!"

Some of the most IGNANT shyt I done ever heard on that NWArecord.....

Found out Ice T was playin a muthafukkin po in a movie, shyt was mindblowin at the time, same dude that had me reciting Colors. The New Jack City hype was CRAZY, the video was always the first shyt you peeped before the flick, then the nikka drops Original Gangsta You just KNEW that shyt was gone be on the album



Between OG and nikkaz4life STILL don't know which one had the most ignant "nikka" song on their album




Then all the hype about Cube being in a movie droppin in the summer, everybody in they mama go and see the shyt, CMW drops Straight Checkin like.......DAMN

Can't even tell yall how many time we used to play this instrumental off the Boyz soundtrack, shyt was so dope and sad, it was weird. Had you thinkin when it was your time to go, no joke.



Then not too long after Boyz Cube cut the curl off n drops the almighty Death Certificate. Destroys NWA right after they drop a fukkin platinum record.....

The timeline was all within the year all mainstream. Right before the riots, The Chronic, Doggystyle. Crazy how so many young cats was listening to these records. Muthafukkaz was spittin some HARDCORE shyt on these records poistitive and negative. I look back on the shyt like gotdamn.......Listening to some of that shyt at such an early age

First introduction to DJ Quik was Sweet Black p*ssy......Yall realize how many young n older birds knew the words to this shyt verbatim? Quik Is The Name had them hoez more open than that Ralph Tresvant real talk.



2nd ll None, then that fool AMG.......Them records was hilarious, fools all dropped their shyt in 91. Had the radio, streets, n parties CRACKIN up n down the muthafukkin state.

lol. funny because i remember how hot 97 back in the days had psa's from biggie telling kids to not sell drugs and to stay in school YET biggie rapped about dropping out of high school to sell drugs because he wanted to make money.

the funniest psa was odb's "shimmy shimmy ya" where he had to put a psa telling folks to not have unprotected sex.

what got me was how folks were really that ignorant to do some shyt like that and blame it on the rappers as if they had no damn sense.
