I was just having this convo with my friend. His run was incredible. That’s the problem, it’s hard to keep that momentum, very few actors can maintain that for a longtime.

As it has already been stated, Eddie Murphy is the closest. You could argue he peaked with Harlem Nights/Coming To America. I’d say that his last great role was Life/Bowfinger, so that’s nearly two decades.

It just goes to show how important picking the right movie roles are.
