During a Smoky Mountain Wrestling show in Wise, Virginia in 1993, the Heavenly Bodies had a match with the Bruise Brothers. After the match ended, the Bruise Brothers went to the back as the Heavenly Bodies along with their manager Jim Cornette started to follow. While heading back, Jimmy Delray got into some sort of scuffle with a security guard. Cornette, who was also the promoter of Smoky Mountain….screamed at the guard to do his job.
When the guard started talking back to Cornette, the outspoken manager called the security guard (who happened to be black) a ni—r. That started a full blown riot which involved both fans and security guards going after the wrestlers. It took the Bruise Brothers (Ron and Don Harris) to return from the back and join the fight to help the others to safety. Police had to escort the entire Smoky Mountain crew out of Wise, Virginia to safety.
