i think jimi was a natural bluesman who weirdly found fame. i love everything jimi did from when he was jimmy in the famous flames to all the posthumous bootlegs. he was AWESOME

anyone ever see jimi rock an acoustic?

if you wanna get into jimi, start with the 'are you experienced' album and go forward from there. he ruled (he was also left handed, a crippling ability to most guitarists)

Jimi was definitely a blues man. He performed on the chitlins circuit and was a guitarist for little Richard until he got fired. Then he was an official member of the Isley brothers before he went solo
