I never once found this guy funny. He's corny as fukk, he relies way too much on nostalgia, and his pop culture references are too in your face. And to think that Conan was supposed to be the host of the Tonight Show but got shafted by Jay Leno and NBC before he really got a chance to build up an audience.

The only thing I like about the show is that The Roots are his band. :salute:

i like jimmy but he breaks a lot. i'm not sure who else would be a better host.

i was mad about how they did coco, too. and most late night hosts aren't exactly likable. let's appreciate the roots, though. they are truly legendary.

It's a CRAZY come up. Compared to Conan, he barely put any work in at all. Dude only got his first Late Night talk show a few years back. Conan the god like 2 decades deep in the game. Leno is a scumbag for what he did to the red haired god. Still tho, Fallon cool.
Still don't get how Leno was the bad guy in that situation when he was the one who got fukked initially by Conan and NBC.

When O'Brien's contract neared its end and he was courted by other networks in 2001, NBC extended his contract and essentially guaranteed him he would be the fourth host of Tonight. The network neglected to let Leno know until his contract extension in 2004,

By the time Conan got the Tonight Show, Jay Leno was the definition of :flabbynsick:. He had more than enough money to step away from the show and be set for the rest of his life. He had no reason to try getting another show.

Maybe because he is a grown man who wasn't ready to retire. Conan don't pay that nikka bills. And that definition of :flabbynsick: had the highest rated show until the day he did finally step away. Over the hipster and ginger man.

Well apparently neither could Conan at 11:30

They barely gave Conan a chance. It takes a while to get the new audience to warm up to his personality. Leno had over 15 years of being on the Tonight Show to build up a core fanbase and when they gave him his own separate show, he flopped.

Conan had been on late night for 16 years. How damn long does it take to build a core fanbase? :dahell:

The Late Night crowd is different from the Tonight Show crowd. Jay Leno had the "safe" humor but Conan had more of an edgy type of humor. Plus Jay Leno's audience was (at least from what I heard) the middle aged and older crowd. Conan had the much younger crowd. I remember people were even saying that people at NBC liked the fact that Conan appealed to the 18-35 demographic which has been difficult to get. The older people who were watching Conan on the Tonight Show probably needed some time to adjust.

Well Fallon's ratings have been great and his audience is younger than Conan's. :mjpls: Just admit you love Coco and don't fukk with Leno breh lol. You copping pleas for that man which could be done for any failed host. It is what it is. I'm a Leno stan, so I'mma ride with my boy.
