I’ve got to say the amount of adoration JJ got for a regular season that wasn’t exactly earth shattering was interesting given The Lakers built their name on the postseason. Ham’s first season was WCF correct? The Lakers were heavily favored in a series everybody knew they were the less athletic, slower, smaller & older team.

You lost two games at home including the Game 1 drubbing.
You play your guys the entire 2nd half to the point of mental exhaustion
You refuse to play a big to combat a guy in Rudy who is notorious for not being able to corral the ball

Minnesota came out halftime playing such idiotic basketball you could hear the concern in Reggie Miller’s voice. It got to the point where Rudy put backs were Minnesota’s only offense. It was a winnable game
