I work in employment helping people find work and lemme tell yall...

LEARN YOUR ASS A DAYUM TRADE OR DOME TYPE SKILL YOU CAN WORK FOR YOURSELF!!!!

This economy and country are fukked for the majority. I talk to people who have played the game right, gotten degrees and certs, and they are still looking for a job. Wasted all of that fukking money!

My job now requires a degree, which I don't have one. And I'm probably the best in my office at what we do. So I'm in there, no degree, making the same as people who spent dues in school. In my office looking like a dayum dope boy...but I know my shyt. Plus my verbal and written skills are superior to my college graduate Co worker's.

Talked to the guy up the street who has a chicken wing truck. nikka pulls in 300 on a bad day! A good one he can pull in a stack.

I'll probably leave this job shortly and do my side hustles full time. More risk, but more freedom. Nothing feels better than knowing you don't NEED a job. That's true freedom.

Oh, and cut your expenses nikkas so you font have to slave yourselves out.
my man right here pretty much said everything I was thinking

It sucks for a lot of people because companies have such a large pool to choose from and they set their standards HIGH...

But this will be worse for the country in the long run because all these young folks are 22-32 cannot gain the experience needed to actually take on many of the jobs out there and it is holding everything behind... Old folks still working, retiring later, and less space for the young people...

At the same time, it is forcing people in this age bracket to get creative, our generation, "The Millennials"(16-32), could end up being the most innovative generation to come about because of this..

I got my degree in Economics and was working consulting for a couple years... I recently just quit my job and am writing a business plan... In the mean time I've been using my other skills as an asset to stack money on the side... You can't wait for anything unless you are a cream of the crop top talent.

At this point You have to get it on your own. It is hard, but find the assets that make you talented (aside from being a good company drone) and go use it to make your own money...

THIS, coli brehs. THIS.

Basically these Fortune 500 companies don't want young people in it anymore. They can keep that shyt. :pacspit:

Need to enhance my capital and find something that food trucks aren't serving and hire somebody to manage it for me ..... that would be a great move.... ....especially when you consider the overhead costs, maintenance, and regulations of a brick and mortar building :scust: ....even though it has advantages ... but still ...... I can even play my own tunes out of the truck :ehh:

Do food trucks have health inspectors?? :patrice: ?? Not that I want unsafe food or conditions :whoa:

On a side note......I'm hearing that foreign companies don't want to hire people with American citizenship like they use to because of recent federal regulations that require overseas companies to divulge out more information that companies may not want to share. It's kinda crazy outchere... :lupe:

Blame yourselves.

Most of you ninjas on this site are NOT articulate.

Most of you cannot write a grammatically correct sentence. I'm pretty sure this is an issue with your speech as well.

You may think it's "cool" and it "shouldn't matter" but it DOES matter. No company wants an inarticulate idiot being the face of their company. No, sir, you belong in the fields making $7.50 an hour for your unskilled labor and lack of education.

Stay in school.
Read a book.
Educate yourselves on sentence structure and grammar.
Stop walking around looking and talking like thugs and first graders.
Go to college or trade school.
Study something practical and employable like engineering.

Those of us who took education SERIOUSLY and studied something that makes us EMPLOYABLE aren't hurting for jobs. :win:

Many engineers are mentally insane due to excessive amounts of rigorous work. :lupe:

Plus your job is going to be another victim of job automation.

Do a hustle, legal or not :yeshrug:, and save some cash up to make sure you have a mid-range computer rig you can work with. From there, get the software, legal or not, and teach yourself for a few months. From there, make hella content, whether its with friends or strangers, just hit topics you are interested in and timely human interest shyt. You basically just want a portfolio and the ability to say you can do this and that, and if your mouthpiece right, you can say you've dabbled for years and just began serious archiving of your craft. Study people who do the shyt better than you and emulate it :whoa: but try to understand or at least pretend to know why they use certain techniques. Gotta be good at selling that snake oil. They don't have to know you don't have any real experience. Just get in the door and study that ass off. Flim flam, baby.

This.. But pick the right skill for you. I am in sales and doing well, but I also do sql and html for a side and I have a class A license for if everything goes bad and I have to go back to driving a semi.
Herein lies all that you need to know about the modern economy: diversify your resources. I have a nursing degree, an accounting degree, and im in the process of working on another one. Three degrees before thirty. One can interpret this as a flexible workforc, or an inefficient one.

I've been unemployed since 2007. I can't even estimate how many jobs I've applied to over the years. So far, I've only had 3 interviews with companies that I've found on my own and about 10 from staffing agencies. I've been making it (on a wing and a prayer) from jobs that the staffing agencies have hooked me up with.

Keywords is bullshyt! I have customized and tailored my resume for every job I've applied to and have received nothing other than the acknowledgement that my resume was received.

My last and final option is to join the military. My friends and family are strongly against this but they don't realize how bad my struggle for permanent employment is. My friends have stated that joining the military is exactly what "they" want but what is my other option? I've been waiting and applying like crazy but nothing is biting.

And Sallie Mae is eating half of my unemployment check :sadbron:

I have an Associates in Criminal Justice, Bachelors in Mass Comm, & a Masters in Communications. I stay in Washington, DC so I've been applying to federal, corporate and non-profits heavily! I've applied for positions all across the country, even Hawaii.

I just took the plunge and applied for Correctional Officer with the Feds...but I want a job where I can go home in one piece and not in a coffin :sadcam:

Damn, what a difference a year makes because now I'm :eat: good! Last year, I wasn't getting any call backs and now I'm turning down interviews and job offers. In fact, I finally got into the Federal government and I'm about to switch to another agency. My hard work has finally paid off! :blessed:

To all of you still searching, keep on looking and don't give up.

Had a talk with a security guard yesterday who also owns a firm dedicated to hiring security guards. He says the reason he started was because he wanted security to not be associated with the "bouncer" mentality. Anyways, he told me around 90 percent of people who apply for position with him are liars on their application. He said he had a method that worked for him on choosing the right applications. shyt is real out here bruh.
